Making the most of one of the few days left before the leave me for school. :(

Too Kewl
Went back to school shopping today. Little lady will be a Kindergartener in less than a week (sniff, sniff)
Boston Baby!
Since our very first visit, Kennedy has been enraptured in all that is Boston. No other place has excited her this much, and at the ripe ol’ age of 5, she will swear up and down she’s going to college here. I could think of a worse places. :)
just in love
with this face…..
and this one….
Worth it.
I’m soooo not a morning person. There are a few things worth getting up early for. This is one of them…
Altamont Fair
Another one of those things we always say we’re gonna do and just never get around it it until it’s too late. This year we finally made it. Much more fun now that the girls can both hit the rides…and even more fun with new friends and neighbors. :)
Bronx Zoo
There’s no better day trip than to the Bronx Zoo. :)
Martha’s Vineyard
Just a few favorites from a most favorite vacation. ’till next year MV. Thanks for a super summer vacy.
Circus Camp
Brown School has some seriously cool camp activities during the summer. One week of circus camp and she was ready to run away with them. Love seeing her up on stage all cool and confident.
Thank you Dad!
Two days in our new home and I just couldn’t wait another moment to remove the “unique” island lights and add my own touch. Kudos for my dad for a job well done!
Last good-byes….
Took the girls outside for their last run around on Empire Ave. When they are picked up from camp this evening, to Claremont we go….
Saying bye to the trees we planted for them right after their birth. Wish we could rip them out and bring them with us….
Holy Smokadoos….
This is really happening.
and I really freaking live here now….
May I always feel as grateful as I did on July 17, 2012.
Last night on Empire
We tried a sleepover. They wanted no part of it and split into two rooms by 9pm. Yet somehow, they subconsciously knew there was no other way they’d rather spend their last night in the only home they’ve known since birth…
We’re moving….
Just a few days now….crazy. just crazy. After two long years of searching!
Last Dance
Last Friday night dance party on the patio…
Camp!
So you may be wondering what we did with our two littles during all this crazy commotion….not to worry, they were off at camp happy as clams while we hustled away turning their new house into a home!
Circus Smirkus
Despite some sweltering heat and a teeny jam packed tent, the girls were beyond enthralled with the performance…we may have a few future acrobats on our hands!
Not a bad view…
…for a Friday night dinner with our two ladies and the best babysitter in town (no, you can’t have her name…hehe).
See da aminals!!
Love our yearly trip to Adirondack Animal Land. :)
Fourth of July
Great afternoon/evening at the Club with some of our favorites. :)
Fish
Someone’s officially a swimmer. And jumper! So proud of our not so little Bean!!
Took about, um, three more trips to the diving board before she decided she was officially done with floatation devices all together. My fearless lady is BACK. Lovin’ it.
Last swing….
The last swing on a set that’s been quite good to us over the last 3 years….in a yard that was equally as good. On to bigger and better things very, very soon.
Share!
“Kennnnnnnnneeeeeee…..time to share!!”
Happy 5th Birthday Kennedy
Since McKenna was lucky enough to have party day fall on her actual birthday, we couldn’t very well let Kennedy have a blah actual birthday day. So up to the Great Escape we went…where we watched them run, dance, ride and twirl until they just about crashed out cold. Loved every moment of it (us and them).
and only three days later….
My little lady turned 5. And I do mean little lady. No longer a baby, toddler or even little girl. Simply, my little lady with the heart of gold. I could just squeeeeeeeeze her till it hurts.
Party time!
Yep, party day was awwwwwwwwesome.
Many more pics to come soon. :)
Happy Birthday McKennedy!
I love having their birthdays 3 days apart. At least, that is while they’ll still agree to joint parties. I’m gonna milk that for as long as they allow me to. :)
Tttttwee!
My baby….or not so much….is three!
No subsitute
We can buy all the fancy sprinkler balls and mats, but on a hot sunny evening after bellies have been filled…nothing beat the real thing.
Raspberries!
So we missed Strawberry season this year (boo), but raspberries certainly don’t suck. :)
Graduation Day
it’s the end of an era. Kennedy is no longer a pre-schooler. It’s bittersweet. She’s excited to move on up into Kindergarten in v’ville, but certainly a little bit sad to be leaving a school that has been so incredibly great to her for the past two years…and friendships that while they may not last, will never be forgotten.
Thanks for a wonderful two years Brown School. I can only hope that McKenna loves it half as much as Kennedy did.
Kennedy wasn’t the only graduate this day. McKenna made it through Mrs. Becky’s two year old program with only a few time outs, and some super incredible friends. :)
Beggy, the Turtle
John found this guy hanging out in our yard the other day. I instantly fell in love…as did the ladies. Couldn’t bring myself to keep her though….just ain’t right no matter how big a smile she brought to our faces each time she poked her adorable little head out. So today, we set her free where we found her. I sure hope she stays close and visits us often. And finds her way to Voorheesville in a few weeks. Ha.
Fun in the Sun
Oh, how we Bagyi’s love our summers…
♥ lazy afternoons….
Happy Mommy’s Day
Luckiest. Mommy. Ever. :)
Bittersweetness….
Today was bittersweet.
We learned that McKenna is no longer (if she was ever truly) allergic to peanuts…after watching with fear as she ingested larger and larger amounts of peanut butter every 15 minutes for a full hour. Terrifying is an understatement. My heart racing every time she raised an arm to itch her neck, face or arm. Inspecting every inch of her face for a hive that never appeared. Feeling sick at every cough that turned out to be nothing more than a dry throat. Did I mention
terri
fying? But at the end of it all….wonderful news. Her life is no longer in danger. At least as it pertains to peanuts.
Consequently, we also learned that Kennedy now has to face this allergy alone. It was the only semi bright spot in learning McKenna had the allergy last year. At least they would have each other for support growing up right? I’m not sure we’ll honestly look at the situation much differently though. McKenna will be just as educated as her big sister as it pertains to food allergies….and just as encouraged to be supportive. We will never allow peanut products in our home. We just get to live in half the fear we did yesterday.
{sigh} bittersweet {sigh}
iPad + Cheerios = a very happy missy lou lous
Baby Animals
The baby animals are back at Indian Ladder! Being just a half mile down the road in a month or two, this may be our new home away from home. :)
So perfectly missy lous…
i love me that crooked smile (that also resembles a bit of a growl). :)
Sliiiiiide.
It’s just no fun going down alone….
Hug ‘o War
Besties
They have been all about each other lately. Days have consisted of fits of giggle and laughters (mixed in with screaming and stealing and kicking). Most nights, they have to be torn apart from Kennedys bed in a fit of tears. I feel terrible, but at 10pm…enough is enough and it’s time to sleep. Last night was the first time that even after I had broken up late night play time, McKenna snuck back in later and actually fell asleep next to Kennedy. And today before nap, McKenna insisted that Kennedy read her not one, but two books. And Kennedy was happy to oblige.
I love it. I just frickin’ love it.
{excuse the crappy iphone pic…I was too sleepy and tipsy off Sangria to get the good cameara}
5 days….
That’s how long it took for someone to come visit our home twice, fall in love and make an offer. So it’s official….summer 2012 – the Bagyis move to Voorheesville.
To say we’re thrilled would be a massive understatement. :)
Weeeeeee
McKenna isn’t scared of much. But for some reason, she does not like coming down slides until protected by her big sisters lap….
Watermelon Days
Are almost upon us….90 degrees in April? I’ll take it!
Day Trip!
We are not near as spontaneous as we’d like. In fact, we aren’t spontaneous at all. We’re working on it. So instead of planning a day trip to Boston weeks in advance, we planned it three days prior. Big deal for us…really. Despite a belly ache and a few pukey episodes (which we later learned was strep in both ladies), we made the trip anyways and damn glad we did. Kennedy asked repeatedly if we could live there and I think we finally convinced her that she should a few years and we could discuss it for college. :)
We planned a focused trip to the Museum of Science and a Duck Tour so as to not overwhelm the ladies and still felt we didn’t have enough time for just those two things. Nonetheless, fun was had by all….and the highlight was no doubt taking their turn driving the duck boat.
Ponies!
I’m sorta loving school break. Lazy mornings spent hanging out cuddling and “hiding” in bed…long drawn out breakfasts and most importantly, quality time with the Bean.
Today we hit up a fun fundraiser for Miss Maddie Musto’s foundation, complete with face painting and pony rides…and most of all, the bestest of friends. :)
Hoppy Easter! =’.’=
T’was a good, good day.
Happy Birthday Bailey Brown!
Bittersweet….
It was so very very odd to see that official sign go up…and yet so very exciting all at the same time.
Little Tykes Musical
I LOVE watching my Bean up on stage. She is so stinkin’ cute it makes my heart race. I was a little bummed my itty bitty kid was stuck in the back row where I could barely see her, but I was nonetheless proud of her. We celebrated with a rose, a trip to visit the Easter Bunny and “special” lunch at Red Robin. Happy day. :)
Just a girl and her dad…
I love the way they love each other. Can’t believe how big she’s become…
Summer?
75 degrees in March AND a Missy Lous willing to smile for the camera? um, yes please!!
Well, hello there Spring…
SO glad to see you. :)
St. Patty’s Day 2012
We love St. Patty’s day around here. Kennedy was stoked for the parade and was all ready and dressed for the part. Unfortunately, McKenna got a nasty little tummy bug and spent the entire day yacking in a too-big-for-her-little-head garbage can…I’ve never felt so sorry for her. So while Kennedy cheered on at the parade, Missy Lou Lou crashed out on the family room floor. Well…there is always next year.
Spring!
Jiminy
There is no one in the world I’d rather hit the slopes with for the first time in over 10 years than my Bean. By our fourth run, she no longer wanted me to hold onto her at all and I was instructed to “go fast and do NOT stop to talk to daddy!” on the way down. SO much fun. It helped it was 50 degrees and frickin’ awesome out.
Lorax
We finally decided we’d had enough of leaving poor Missy Lou behind every time we went the movies and braved her very movie experience. She was amazing and almost makes me feel bad we didn’t do this a bit sooner. Can’t wait for the next one!
Mommy forgot her good camera so we snapped a quick one with the iphone….suppose it’s true that the youngest one gets the short end of the stick. :(
Pottery Place
Despite a yucky case of strep and pink eye, we refused to be housebound for yet another day so we hit up the Pottery Place with some friends anyways…and glad we did. You’d never know Kennedy was sick and she LOVED painting her cupcake piggy bank. McKenna…well….she wasn’t as bad as she could have been. We’ll leave it at that.
Shades
Man I love this kid. She could not…I repeat not…be any cuter.
